Internationally-known singer and dancer Victoria Horne sang the blues — and rock, gospel and jazz — in shows held in dozens of countries, but her newest passion has little to do with music.
On Tuesday, Horne will introduce to the public her show of 22 photographs she has taken around the world. The exhibit will be at Eclipse Recording Studio.
Many of her travels were short stopovers to perform, but not all. She lived in Japan for six years.
“I started shooting a few years ago,” she said. “It just came to me and I kept doing it and became excited. I’ve visited 100 countries and mainly shoot photos of other cultures, angles, patterns and architecture.”
It amuses her to think that after a jazz show in Monte Carlo, she pawned her first camera.
